| Gadchiroli: Gram Panchayat member post canceled due to encroachment |
Gadchiroli: Action has been taken against Manoj Lengure, who was elected by a majority in the Gram Panchayat General Election held in 2021 at Malewada Gram Panchayat, under Section 14 (1) (J-3) of the Maharashtra Act, 1958 by the District Collector, Gadchiroli.
Radheshyam Sidam filed an application against Manoj Lengure in the court of District Collector, Gadchiroli on 15/03/2021. He alleged that Manoj Lengure had conducted survey no. 308/1 R.G.has been illegally encroaching on government land R.1.00 since 2002-03 and is still cultivating crops. Therefore, their membership should be canceled.
Tehsildar, Kurkheda's report proved that Lengure had encroached on government land.
After a thorough investigation into the complaint, District Collector Deepak Singla took action against his encroachment case and declared Manoj Lengure's Gram Panchayat membership ineligible.
